Our FabLab Project

What is FabLab ?

FabLab is a term used to describe a digital fabrication laboratory, where students from all grades can access cutting-edge technology to create, design, and build a wide range of projects. These labs typically include tools such as 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, and other advanced equipment that allow students to bring their ideas to life. The goal of a FabLab is to provide a space where students can experiment, explore, and learn through hands-on projects, while developing skills in design, engineering, and problem-solving.

Why Cousteau School needs it

These spaces provide a unique environment for children to learn about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) by allowing them to create and build their own designs. FabLabs can also help children develop important skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration. By providing access to technologies and engineering we want to inspire the next generation, help them to understand the world they are living in and reinvent our future

How much do we need ?

$13,500

FabLab equipments are relatively expensive, but their adaptive technologies make them accessible to students of all grades in our school. We see this as a wise investment in the future generation, and firmly believe that these learning technologies will have a major impact on our students' education.
